GMAT/GRE Waiver Request - Executive MBA Programs

Please fill out the form below to be considered for a GMAT/GRE waiver for our Evening, Charlotte and Weekend Executive MBA programs. GMAT/GRE Policy

UNC Kenan-Flagler requires either an official GMAT or GRE score or an approved GMAT Waiver for all applicants applying to the Executive MBA programs who have less than 5 years of full-time, professional work experience. Applicants with five or more years of work experience are automatically exempt from providing a test score and do not need to complete a waiver.

If you have fewer than 5 years of professional, full-time work experience at the time of application, you may qualify for a GMAT/GRE waiver if you satisfy our admission requirements AND meet one of the following:

CPA or CFA designation
Master's or PhD in a technical field
Terminal degree (e.g. JD, MD)
Significant academic or professional quantitative experience

If you have not taken either test and do not have a quantitative background, we often recommend courses in accounting or statistics in lieu of the GMAT/GRE. This helps you build a stronger analytical foundation which leads to a successful classroom experience.

An approved GMAT/GRE waiver does not guarantee admission to the program.

Please note: Our Full-Time MBA, Online MBA and Executive MBA programs have individual waiver request processes and requirements.
