UNC Kenan-Flagler requires either an official GMAT or GRE score or an approved GMAT Waiver for all applicants applying to the Weekend and Evening MBA programs who have less than 5 years of full-time, professional work experience. If you have fewer than 5 years of professional, full-time work experience at the time of application, you may qualify for a GMAT/GRE waiver if you satisfy our admission requirements AND meet one of the following:
If you have not taken either test and do not have a quantitative background, we often recommend courses in accounting or statistics in lieu of the GMAT/GRE. This helps you build a stronger analytical foundation which leads to a successful classroom experience. Please note that an approved GMAT/GRE waiver does not guarantee admission to the program.
