Activities, Honors and Experience form-based sections
We expect overlap in the resume and the form-based sections (activities, experience and involvement) of the application. The form entries are less formal in nature and provide an option for including descriptions, duties, etc. that you would not include in a formal resume. It is completely up to the student as to how far back they report, but most students will include the past year or two. Since we encourage students to focus mainly on university level campus involvement within their resume, the form pages are also an effective option for sharing high level or relevant involvement from high school that did not make it into their one-page resume.
Essays Essays may vary depending on your selections within the application. For example, Luther Hodges and students applying for MAC Consideration will find additional essay prompts under the "Supplemental Essay" page.Additional Information The additional information essay should be used for any extenuating circumstances or information or insights that would be helpful for the admissions committee. For example, students dealing with a loss or illness that has impacted their ability to perform in or outside of the classroom. Transfer students and re-applicants are also encouraged to provide the committee with an informal update on their circumstance, which is located on the "Essay" page of the application.
Essay Formatting Essays submitted via uploaded material should be typed single-spaced using 12-point font.
