Residency Determination Service Appeal

NC Residency for tuition purposes is governed by North Carolina State law and is determined by the centralized Residency Determination Service at www.ncresidency.org.  If you have completed this process and would like RDS to reconsider your residency determination, you must submit your reconsideration request at www.ncresidency.org.

If you wish to appeal the RDS determination, you must submit the appeal at www.ncresidency.org within 10 days of your initial determination.  If you have completed the RDS reconsideration or appeal process and would like to report an updated RDS residency determination, please check the box and submit.  For information on residency appeals and reconsideration, visit https://ncresidency.cfnc.org/residencyinfo/guidelines.
